What’s your top target when doing a given work? For some persons, it’s doing a best job as he/she can. For the others, it’s making your boss happiest as he/she can. The two approach have subtle while obvious differences. In the reality, if you are an employee, you can easily distinguish one kind from this other in your colleagues. But if you are a boss, unfortunately, it’s not very easy to get the answer.

From my perspective, if I can’t choose both, I prefer the former. The reason is simple: even the boss can be wrong. I don’t want to be just a follower, most of the outstanding bosses in IT fields don’t want their employees to be, either, I think. Anytime, a person should has his/her own judgment and opinions. And, for the bosses(especially mine), I hope they agree with me.
